Charlie
My name is Charlie. I am a 12 year old donkey. Before I came to Freed Spirits, I was living with my 94 year old human mom and my sister, Izzie the pig. My human was really sick and she wouldn’t go to the hospital until she knew we would be cared for. So, we came to Freed Spirits. I am the protector of all the animals here. I stay up all night and patrol the property in case any predators come over and try to hurt anyone. I know everything about anything that happens on the farm. I take my job very seriously. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my partner, Bernie. We are the best of friends. I was never around other donkeys before, so I had to learn how to play with her and not invade her space. She is sure to let me know when she doesn’t like my behavior. I am very affectionate and love to be loved.
