Denise McCawley

Denise is a founder of Freed Spirits Animal Rescue. Denise is the executive director and has dedicated her life to helping animals and people. She has been a Hospice Nurse for the past 15 years. She sees these animals at family and they deserve a second-chance. Helping is second-nature to Denise. Denise’s passion is integrating the community to help animals and people heal. She has a super power to heal abused animals. There is no animal that she wouldn’t help. Freed Spirits Animal Rescue is her life’s calling.
Kaylee Suhr
Founder
The daughter of Denise, Kaylee helped in the founding of Freed Spirits Animal Rescue. Her love and passion for animals is quickly apparent when you meet her. Kaylee is a huge reason the ranch is up and going every day. She runs the ranch on the weekends. Kaylee also handles the fundraising initiatives to help keep the rescue up and going. Aside from her love for animals, Kaylee is also an Esthetician and Environmentalist.
Shana McCawley
Ranch Manager
Shana is the true animal whisperer. She has the ability to not only talk to animals, but to listen to them. She knows when they are happy or if they are in pain. Her love for all animals is apparent as soon as the animals see her. They gravitate to her as if they know that she can understand them better than anyone. Shana is extraordinary and the ranch couldn’t exist without her.
Sandy
Volunteer Donkey ambassador
Sandy is an old school kind of cowgirl. She has owned a ranch her entire adult life. She adds to Freed Spirits Animal Rescue years of knowledge on donkeys and horses. When the manure hits the fan, we call on her.
Debbie Shewman
Treasurer/Ambassador
Debbie is a life long animal lover. She believes her life purpose is to save and care for abused and/or unwanted souls. She is out in the community fundraising on a daily basis. Freed Spirits Animal Rescue is her happy place.
Julie Croak
Secretary
Julie is truly one of the sweetest souls ever put on this earth. She works with all of our new volunteers to make sure they are properly trained. She provides them with knowledge and patience to be able to work with all of our animals. She has a natural nurturing compassion for all people and animals which is what makes her the perfect addition to our rescue. Julie also works with all things that are behind the scenes to keep the rescue up and going.

Tammy Lawry: Volunteer Team Leader
Tammy has been a compassionate and hard working volunteer for several years with Freed Spirits. She leads the volunteer orientation every month and is a friendly face to all of those that come to the rescue.
